  • Start date :11 Feb 2019
  • End date :Ongoing

Scope

Engineering, design and commissioning cutover strategy for the replacement of the main 11kV RMU’s to a new 11kV switchboard with full generator/grid synchronisation automation, protection and earthing studies. Network code export compliance engineering for the embedded solar PV generation sites which summed to 7MW of solar generation.

Result

The project is ongoing due to the requirement to attend site to cutover to the new switchboard and Covid-19. The solar PV network compliance engineering is complete and compliant.

How We Did It Better

The manner in which the project was managed was unconventional with the lack of defined deliverables and therefore scope. Imperium engineering were required to respond to engineering and design requests on an adhoc basis, put simply we needed to remain flexible and advise our client of what is required as a minimum and what is possible within the confines of the networks ability to function and technical constraints.
