Power System Analysis

Imperium Engineering have considerable experience in power system analysis, we can complete electrical engineering studies from first principles or through powerful system modelling software packages. Power system analysis and system modelling – this can be completed from first principles or through either SKM PTW, ETAP (we find these to be the most universally accepted software packages within plant) or network grade packages such as DigSilent PowerFactory or Siemens PSSE. Power System & Instrument Earthing Design

As with EEHA a lot of companies do not understand earthing, the requirements of Australian standards and indeed how to know if they have an earthing issue. Further, we are experienced in AC Mitigation for buried and above ground gas pipelines in common easement with power lines. Imperium Engineering are familiar with all of the relevant Australian Standards & Guides and International standards:

Lightning Protection

Imperium Engineering have intimate knowledge of lightning protection design, we incorporate this into our earthing and Hazardous Area designs. Either Rolling Sphere Method or Collection Volume Method can be applied as the situation and client demands. With these solutions and our chartered engineers, we allow our clients to connect to their utility/grid. This provides them with an asset that has an electrical system compliant to Statutory Regulations and their own requirements, no matter which state or territory they are in. Imperium Engineering has experience, knowledge, and understanding of how to mitigate your plant against the risk of lightning.

Our engineers and design incorporate this into your plant designs ensuring the earthing of the plant is compliant to regulatory requirements. AS1768 is a voluntary standard, Imperium Engineering can utilise this and other International standards in order to provide clients with a low risk, Internationally, and Australian Standards acceptable outcome that is minimalistic yet compliant.
